Vance Lee Scott passed away on October 20th, 2022 at 49 years old. He was a loving father, partner, son, brother, and so much more to so many.
Vance Lee Scott was born on July 3rd, 1973 to parents Willis E Scott and Janice Scott. Growing up in rural Alabama, he attended Ranburne High School and went on to study technology after graduating. He moved to the Atlanta area in the early 2000s where he thrived in his career and grew to love Atlanta as his home. After being diagnosed with ALS in 2019, he did not let the diagnosis slow him down. He won the battle with ALS when he passed peacefully Thursday morning.
Vance is survived by his daughter, Mackensi Scott, his partner Billy Miller, his parents Willis and Janice Scott, his Brother Allan Scott, and many loving friends and family members.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 29th from 2-5pm at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park at 1861 Dallas Highway SW Marietta, GA 30064. A memorial will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 11:30am at All Saints’ Episcopal Church at 634 W Peachtree Street NW Atlanta, GA 30308. All are welcome to attend either or both.

Vance made Billy the happiest I have ever seen him, and the bond shared was most evident. Be at peace Vance. You fought the good fight, and deserve your place in the eternal sun.
