Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Sara Christeen Jones, “Chris”, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on Thursday, November 10th at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents; William Cecil Batson and Ines Geneva Batson and her sister; Barbara Allred.
Lovingly remembered by her daughters; Jennifer Denise Kalb (Jody), Laney Crystal Harris (Jeremy), Kimberly Heather Black. Also her ten grandchildren; Chandler Joseph Goode (Cheyenne), Rachel Marie Goode, Kaylee Ellen Goode, Brianna Hope Kalb, Eli William Kalb, Michael Anthony Black III “Trè”, Raegan Christine Harris, Bailey Audrina Black, Kennedy Diane Harris, Taylor Madison Harris.
Special thanks to all of moms friends who sat with her, prayed for her, called her, encouraged her, and visited with us in her final days. We know that mom left a legacy of witnessing for the Lord Jesus Christ and in her final days expressed that God must have had her on this earth even in her own suffering to witness for Him. She witnessed for Him until her last breath on earth and we are grateful for all the stories shared with our family this past year.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 17th at 6:00pm at Bethany Christian Church at 3264 Villa Rica Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157. All are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Bethany Christian Church. We invite everyone to wear purple in honor of mom as it was her favorite.

We pray the love of God enfolds you during your journey through grief.
Chris you will never know how much your friendship has ment to me. I love sharing in the ministry with you and the conversation and laughs we had together. I am truly blessed to call you a friend of mine. I know your dancing with Jesus and no more pain. I will be praying for your family to have comfort thru these next few days. Until I see you again. I will miss you. Susan ONeal
I just LOVE YOU❤️
Chris I’ve missed you for so long now but it was always ok because I knew I’d see you again soon. Even now in this time of your passing I know I will still see you soon. I do hate that it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you. I love you so much you were always so sweet and kind and had a smile on your face no matter what was going on in life. Everyone just knew you had so much joy that all you could do was share it with others. I love you & I’ll see you soon.
