Charles David Moore

C. David Moore (87) of Marietta, GA was born May 31, 1935, and passed away unexpectedly from this life to his life eternal November 2, 2022. He was the son of Charlie Frank and Alice Burrell Moore of Marietta GA who preceded him in death. A 1953 graduate of Marietta High School, he married Jane Bolen Moore who preceded him in death. They had 4 children who survive him: Jeff Moore and wife Bobbi of Kernersville, NC; Holly Curlee and husband Byron of Hiram, GA; Brian Moore and wife Lisa of Wilmington, NC; and Ashley Rogerson and husband Sean of Mount Pleasant, SC. He was proud of his children and lovingly adored his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His sister Marilyn Sullivant and her husband Charles of Nashville TN also preceded him in death. Daddy was proud of his military service in the USNR and active duty in the USAF in Savannah GA. The bulk of his civilian career was spent in computer hardware and data processing sales and support. The “Terrible Tenor” loved singing joyfully with his church family at RSBC and the fellowship in his Sunday School Class. When he was still able, he very much enjoyed walking the Civil War trails at Kennesaw Mtn Battlefield Park as a history buff and nature lover. He also loved the companionship of his cats and dogs over his years. In his earlier years, he was an electronics & CB radio junkie – and his later years were filled with TMC and Hallmark movies. The family requests that donations be made to the Music Ministry of RSBC in memory of Dad’s love for his Lord and church family in lieu of flowers. A memorial service will be held at The Gathering Room at Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta at 2:00pm November 19, 2022.
