Richard John “Johnny” Del Favero, of Marietta, GA, died peacefully on November 21, 2022, at his Marietta home. Johnny was born October 28, 1958, in Cincinnati, OH to Anastasia (Gregori) and Hugo Del Favero Sr. He attended Sycamore High School in Montgomery, OH and graduated in 1977. Several years later, he moved to Stone Mountain then to Marietta, GA to advance his career in business logistics and supply chain management with leadership positions at Design Textile, a Subsidiary of Lockfast Inc. and Astral Health and Beauty. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, with whom he created many loving memories for us all. He liked making pilgrimages to Northern Italy to visit his Italian family and taking cruises with friends to unforgettable destinations. At home, Johnny took great pleasure in doing yard work and simply relaxing. He always offered a smile, kindness, and was available with a helping hand if you needed him. Johnny will be lovingly remembered by his brother and sisters, Michael Del Favero (Kristina) of Cincinnati, OH, Margaret Del Favero of Marietta, GA, and Magdaline Sebald (Rick) of Cincinnati, OH; ten nieces and nephews,14 great nieces and nephews, and dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Hugo and Anastasia Del Favero, and brothers Hugo Del Favero Jr and Robert Del Favero. Celebrations of Johnny’s life will be held in Marietta, GA and Cincinnati, OH at a later date. An internment will follow at Hillside Chapel in Cincinnati, OH. The family would like to thank the doctors and medical staff at Wellstar Cobb Northwest Georgia Oncology and Wellstar Community Hospice for their care of Johnny. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
