Amarjeet (Amar) Singh Ranhotra died on Sunday, November 27th, 2022. He was 23 years old. He was born in Mumbai, India on November 23rd, 1999.
Amar was a talented singer and pianist, performing in multiple choirs, including the Harrison High School Choir and the Georgia State University Choir. He was also a tenor staff singer at The Cathedral of St. Philip in midtown Atlanta and previously baritone staff singer with St. Luke's Episcopal Church while studying choral music education at Georgia State University. Amar was driven by his passion to teach and share music with others. He also loved all sports and some of his happiest times were spent attending live sporting events with his friends and family members.
Amar is survived by his parents, Gurdeep (Rick) and Kiran and by his older sister, Tara.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 12th, 2022, at 2pm at The Cathedral of St. Philip. In honor of Amar, attendees are asked to wear something purple or add a splash of purple to their outfit.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, to please consider volunteering your time for a charitable organization, donating to your local food bank or to the Harrison High School Choir, Georgia State University School of Music (Choral Music) or the Cathedral of St. Philip.








It was my great pleasure to have Rick Kiran Tara and Amar stay at my home; and, whilst I was travelling at several times they visited England
My neighbor was also kind to invite them for Christmas lunch and keys to my home over Christmas

It was truly an honor to know Amar- his memory will never fade from our hearts and minds. Amar was a beautiful soul inside and out, and we will always cherish the time we spent together. It was our family’s privilege and pleasure to know Amar, and all of our love goes out to your family. May God bless you and your family and may Amar’s soul rest in peace.

Dear Amar – I only met you once in person however always felt proud of your accomplishments as I heard them often by Anita. We share your loss with the family and am heartbroken that you didn’t get a chance to live out all your big dreams.
