Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
In the morning of Monday, December 5, 2022, our beloved Stanley Flemister passed away suddenly at the age of 59. He was born on February 17, 1963 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Bobbie Clark and bonus father William Clark. Stanley Graduated from West Fulton High School in 1981. He was the oldest of 2 siblings.
Stanley worked as a custodian for Atlanta Public Schools since 1999. He later met Lena Flemister at APS and they married in 2014. They resided in Austell, Ga. where they spent their time traveling, enjoying the company of their grandkids, family and friends.
When not at work you would more than likely find Stanley somewhere on a grill. He loved his grill almost as much as he loved his Redskins. Every Sunday he was found at the tailgate cooking and cheering for the Falcons as long as they weren't playing the Redskins. He also enjoyed attending the Braves games, probably more for the peanuts than the game itself. He cherished his time and bond with so many of his family and friends the closest being his cousin who was more like a brother Fred Flemister. Stan was a giver. He was a donor and donated his liver, heart, heart valves, kidney, tissue and bones to help someone else in need.
Stanley leaves to cherish his wonderful memories to his wife Lena Flemister; his daughters, Andrea Jacobs and Princess Akins; his son-in-law, Donald Jacobs; his granddaughters, Adrian Jacobs (Suga Mama), Zaree Jacobs (ZaZa), D’onna Jacobs (Onna), D’ior Jacobs (BJ); his bonus granddaughters, Hilerie Heard (Tanna), Amirahlea Heard (MiMi); his sister, Renita Watermann; his brother, Roderick Clark; his nieces, Imarai Watermann, Reshida Clark, Briana Clark; his nephews, Kenneth Watermann Jr., Roderick Clark Jr.; and many, many other family members and friends who loved him.

Q: What will you miss most about Stanley?
A: I will miss stan because he was my right man at tailgate and I know he will be there in spirit.
Lena, Sending all my sympathy and strength to you for the tragic and unexpected loss of your beloved husband. Stan will be truly missed.
The thing I most remember about Stan was his passion for grilling and attending Braves games. Every now and then, I would give him game tickets I secured from work because I knew he would appreciate them. Kids had a special place in his heart–especially those in the family. Stan had a great spirit that seemed to get even better after he found his bride Lena. My heart goes out to her, Renita, Roy and the entire Flemister family. Love and peace to each of you. 🕊
