Fairburn Southern Cremations & Funerals
Dane Michael Patrick Kellum aged 38, was taken too soon on December 18th, 2022. He was the sweetest, kindest man, that would give the shirt off his back if someone else needed it. Dane was super funny and always the life of the party. He loved singing, even won a few karaoke contests. He also loved dancing, hiking, and most off all hanging out with his family and friends. There aren’t enough words to put on paper to describe the one and only Dane Kellum, the man who would risk his life to save another.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Gene Howard; aunt Ruby Louise Kellum; and beloved pets Bandit, Bubba, and Piper.
Dane leaves behind to cherish his memory mother Gwendolyn Kellum; brother Michael Thomas Howard; sister-in-law Jacqualine Howard; nephew Oliver Thomas Howard; niece Milo Rose Howard; aunt Tammy Howard; uncles Irl Kellum and Marcus Kellum; cousins Jacob Russell and Tyler Russell; and too numerous to name all of his friends, whom he considered family.
Here's to: Meat when you're hungry, whiskey when you're dry, money when you need it, and Heaven when you die!

Sassy Glasses,
you were one of a kind! You were the kindest person I’ve ever known. Even when you had nothing you gave everything to ANYONE. My heart breaks for you and your family. You played a huge part in mine and my kids life and those memories will never be forgotten. From us being the last ones up while we blasted karaoke. While you politely told me how to properly sing a song . Always testing my limitations with Martina McBride , You WERE always my biggest fan!! I appreciate every moment we spent with you. It’s your time to sing your song,

This is the last photo I have of us together. We were getting his truck ready for a date and listening to the Falcons game. He was so excited and nervous. I love you big brother.

With loving memories of Dane Kellum,
I found a few more I’m adding
I’m gonna miss all the hikes, drinking beer, cooking dinner, swimming and just spending time together. My heart breaks for all the memories that we won’t get to make, but I’m thankful for the last 15 years of memories we’ve had together. Until I get to hug you again, you will be in my heart always. I love you so much.
Q: What was Dane really good at?
A: Dane had a amazing voice. We had a harmonizing circle on the patio at Cissy’s just weeks before he was taken away. I really wanted Dane to sing in a band for years.
I met him when he worked at Gibson’s in 2008 and he was always there to come say Hello, wave or smile.
He suggested I change my middle name to “Izzall” so my full name would be Bobby Izzall Good.
I miss you already my friend. Fly High and Rest Easy
You will be missed but never forgotten brother. It was an honor to have met you and to have worked with you so many years ago.

Praying for family and friends, so very sorry for your loss! Love Roger & Rosa Willis
Dane always went over and beyond for everyone . He never wanted anything in return, except to pass it on . To the next person that might need a helping hand . I have so many wonderful memories with this” one of a kind man ” . I have literally seen this man give the shirt off his back to someone “just because”. Dane always put himself and his feelings last. He would give you his last dollar and go without. Dane’s heart was so full of unconditional love and kindness, I always knew dane was to good for this world.
So sorry to hear about Dane’s passing, sending our most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
