Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
William (Bill) DeLong passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023, at the age of 78. He is predeceased by his wife Judith (Judy) DeLong and is survived by his daughter Leasy DeLong and grandson Simon DeLong.
Bill showed an interest in electronics from a very young age, winning his high school science fair with a computer that he constructed from scratch. This interest turned into a very successful company that he created, owned and operated - California Software.
Later in life, Bill worked at Home Depot and helped many customers with his extensive knowledge of home repair and electronics. He always loved learning about science and astronomy and enjoyed the company of many cats during his lifetime.
Those who knew Bill will understand that he was a kind and humble man, so his wishes were for a simple cremation without any ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation to your local SPCA in Bill's honor, that would be most appreciated.

What I will remember most about Dad is that he was kind to others. He loved his Cherry Mash/Big Cherry candies and he of course (like the rest of us) would devour Mom’s cheesecake with delight. He took care of Mom in her last years, and was always considerate. Dad had such a broad knowledge of everything; science, engineering, computers, astronomy. He was a good person and will be missed.
