Gail Jeannine Bowman

Gail Bowman was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 28, in Kennesaw, Georgia. Gail was cared for in her final years by the loving and dedicated staff at Gaines Park that she called home. Gail Jeannine Bowman was born in Los Angeles, California in 1937 and lived in nearby Van Nuys with her parents, Tom and Julia Rucker, her twin brother Dale, brother Tommy and sister Alva. Later Gail met the love of her life, Des Bowman, in Pasadena, California. Gail and Des married and lived and worked happily in Costa Mesa, California where they raised their three children Cari, Richard and Jan. Gail worked in various industries but always wanted to be at home for her children. Gail and Des retired to Cartersville, Georgia in 2000 and later moved to Kennesaw. Gail and Des were happily married for 61 years before Des went home to the Lord. Gail is survived by daughter Cari and son-in-law Gary, daughter Jan and son-in-law Bill, and son Richard. She is grandmother to Steven and his wife Sara, Katelyn and her husband Michael, and great grandmother to Danni, Kennedi and Jaxson. Her brother Dale Rucker and wife Sharon, son Dale Jr., his son Dillion, wife Grace and daughter Cora Lynn. Son Don and his son Jack. Sister-in-law Jean Rucker, her daughter Pam and son Dan. Memorial and reception with the family will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, February 10th at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta at the Columbarium. Reverend Nicholas Pepper from New Salem Baptist Church will preside.
