Glynn Martin

Glynn Martin, age 84, of Marietta, Georgia passed away peacefully on February 19, 2023. He is resting comfortably with the Lord. Glynn was born in the Enon community, Walthall County, MS in 1938, where he went on to have a fulfilling life with his family and career, which eventually brought him to Marietta, GA. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Some of his favorite things were spending time with his family, watching sports, gardening and reading. Glynn was an active member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock for many years. Glynn was preceded in death by his mother and father, Victor and Christine Martin. Glynn is survived by his wife of 47 years, Allese Martin; his daughter, Cindy (Michael) Martin; and sons, Vic (Stephanie) Martin, Joel Martin and Chad Hambrick; his dearly beloved grandchildren, Madison, Drake, Avalee and Brie Martin; his sister Bettye (Johnny) Nall and their children Sonja and Kevin; and their remaining family members; mother-in -law, Ruth King; brothers and sisters-in-law, Haggard and Elizabeth Yates, Dr. Travis and Cathy Yates, Rita and Richard Neergaard; and his nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Legacy Ridge at Neese RD in Woodstock for the loving care that was provided to Glynn and family during the time of need. The celebration of Glynn's life will be held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park at 1861 Dallas Hwy in Marietta, GA 30064 on March 3, 2023. Visitation begins at 10 AM and the service starts at 11 AM.
