Delia Fay Brown

Delia Fay Brown passed away peacefully at 7:10 am on February 22, 2023 at the age of 70. Delia was born to BJ and Ernestine Pegues in Batesville, Mississippi on February 9, 1953. She is preceded in death by her father BJ; and 2 brothers, Willie and Tyrone. Delia is lovingly remembered by her mother, Ernestine; daughter, Mrs. Cathy (Darold) Johnson; son, Chad Hill; 2 grandchildren, Devin and Nia Johnson; 2 great grandchildren, Hendrix Pierre and Zander Johnson; 3 brothers, James (Tabitha) Pegues, Timmy Pegues, and Kevin Pegues; 2 sisters, Mrs. Elaine (Marvelle) Payne, and Delores Mack; and a host of family and friends. Delia grew up on the westside of Chicago, IL where she attended Farragut High School. She met and married Cleophus Hill Jr. and the couple had 2 children. Delia lived in Oak Park, IL where she worked for and retired from AT&T after 20 years of service. Delia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and would do anything for them.
