Courteney Marie Martin (Court), age 45, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2023.
She is lovingly remembered by Mother Connie Martin, Father Dan Martin, Twin Sister Ashleigh Martin, Brothers Brent Martin and Shane Martin, Sister-in-law Holly Martin, Niece Grayson Martin, Nephews Logan, Mason, and Wyatt Martin.
Courteney was a graduate of Sprayberry High School and the University of Georgia. After graduating, she became a Special Education Teacher at the elementary school level. She was a dedicated teacher devoting endless hours to her students.
She loved the Lord, her family, and her country. Courteney had a special heart for homeless dogs and adopted many dogs in need over her lifetime. Courteney was a friend to all who were blessed to know her. She showed incredible grace and courage during her 14-year battle with serious illness.

Sissy, I miss you so much but know that you are with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Your courage, FAITH and strength inspired me every single day and will continue too. You always kept a great attitude and a great view point on life. One of your favorite saying was “it is what it is” which is so you. You never stressed or worried. You always said that it’s in the Lords hands and not to worry. You not only said it, you lived your life like that and that is so admirable. You can now rest sissy. I love you and miss you dearly.
