Eddie Lee Freeman Sr.

September 6, 1950 ~ April 6, 2023

Eddie Lee Freeman Sr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 6, 1950. As the only child of Mozelle Freeman, he cherished his beloved mother. He was an active child that enjoyed living life to the very fullest. He loved skating and riding his bike. He graduated from Price High School. On September 12, 1968 he married his high school sweetheart Gwendolyn Grice, and to this union they were blessed with children: Aretha, Eddie Jr., Jacquelyn and Antonio. Eddie had an abundance of jobs, some of which included: Delta Airlines, Gold Cross Emergency Transportation, Auto Zone and Manheim Auctions. He retired in 2017. He was a jack of all trades, and made sure his family joined him in his endeavors; including maintenance and painting. His hobbies were playing cards, watching tv, listening to music and playing golf and Xbox. He enjoyed watching old school shows like Sanford and Son and MASH. He would show off his cooking skills on the grill which earned him the nickname the “Cajun chef”. He enjoyed being with family and was always the life of the party. Everyone knew him for his laughter, jokes, and sense of humor. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on May 22, 2008. He walked by faith and fought a good fight the whole way through. Eddie made his transition on April 6th, 2023, at the age of 72. To send a monetary gift to the family of Eddie, please send donation via Cash App to $TandJFree

  1. The thoughts and prayers of the entire EIS team are with you and your family during this difficult time.

  2. Eddie was one of the 1st people I met when I moved to marietta. He always had something going on at his house with good food, games and good people. He would always give us young guys good advice on dealing with life. A really good person Eddie was. Glad I was able to speak with him one last time. I know Eddie is watching over his loved ones now and forever
