Wellborn Gray Eliis

Wellborn Gray Ellis of Morrow, Ga. passed away on May 2, 2023. He was born in Atlanta in 1942 to the late Wellborn R. and Gladys Gray Ellis.“W.G.”, as he was known to all but a few, lived his life quietly, peacefully and with purpose.He was a Georgia Bulldog fan even before he was a UGA graduate and remained one for life.W.G. enjoyed golf, reading, listening to classical music and took great pride tending to his yard.W.G. spent over 20 years driving a school bus for Clayton County Schools. He loved “his kids” and took seriously the responsibility of getting them to school each day and returning them home safely.W.G.’s wife of more than 40 years, Martha, as well as children John Ellis, Jennifer Styron and Kenneth Bates and grandchildren Emma Ellis, Grayson Ellis and Gabrielle Styron will gather in the chapel of Southern Cremations and Funerals at Eastlawn Memorial Park on Saturday May 20, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm to share memories and celebrate his life.
