Dorothy DuPriest, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023. Dorothy was born to Toy and Gracie Hughes on July 1, 1927, in Murray, Kentucky.Dorothy was a dedicated wife to her late husband, Harry Lee DuPriest, for a remarkable 60 years. Dorothy and Harry Lee traveled the world, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories together.As a mother, Dorothy was a constant source of love, guidance, and support for her daughters, Luetta Coccuzi and Vickie Huffman, and her son, Michael DuPriest. Her dedication to her family was unmatched, and her legacy lives on through them.Dorothy adored her three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren whose lives were made brighter by her presence Her love and legacy she passed down through the generations.Dorothy is survived by her 3 children and her sister Glenda Hughes and two brother Bobby and Jack Hughes. Dorothy DuPriest was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Lee DuPriest, and her parents, Toy and Gracie Hughes and grandson Kyle Delrez. While we mourn the loss of such a remarkable woman, we find solace in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved husband and finds eternal peace.A memorial service will be held on June 3 ,2023 at Southern Cremation and Funerals at Cheatham Hill in Marietta to honor and celebrate the life of Dorothy DuPriest. A special thankyou to Amedisys Hospice for the immaculate care provided to Dorothy.

The many visits to Michigan, and the laughter filling our home with them.
There is so many games of Rook played and Uno at the table .
Dorothy and my mom would get so tickled. They would just giggle and giggle and giggle.
I have so many dear treasured moments tucked in my heart. I will miss Dorothy smile, and her laughter.
The Heavenly reunion will be so sweet when we all greet one another one day
