Sharon Kaye Miller passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 11, 2023 to be with her lord at the age of 76 years old. She was born in 1946 on August 27th. Sharon is predeceased by her father, Chelsey Whitten Jr.; mother, Alma (Wilson) Claus; and brother, Ronald Whitten. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, James Miller. Sharon is lovingly remembered by son, Shawn McGill (Rebecca) of Sheffield, IL; daughter, Holly (Jones) Mitchell (Brian) of Jacksonville, FL; son, Travis Jones (Marsha) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Corey McGill of Allegan, MI, Caleb McGill of Terra Haute, IN, Elijah McGill of Atkinson, IL, Molly McGill of Atlon, IL, Ayden Bryant and Caedmon Bryant of Sheffield, IL, Emily and Ella Mitchell of Jacksonville, FL, Chase and Reagan Jones of Marietta, GA; great-grandchildren, Vivian, Thea, Aramis McGill of Terra Haute, IN; sister, Diane Stiggins (Nick) of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law, Judy Whitten of Chiefland, FL; nieces, Tiffany Stiggins of Orlando, FL, Brittany Whitten of Eauclaire, WI, Elizabeth Dillion of Collinsville, TX, Stephanie Whitten of Cincinnati, OH, Brittney and Casey Harvey of Lakeland, FL; and nephews, Anson Whitten of New Bury, FL. Sharon was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, Nana, and friend. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working in her garden, reading books, and having a large cup of ice coffee every morning. She loved going to the beach, shopping the store's clearance racks, going to yard sales with her sister Diane, and sitting on her back porch for hours at a time looking at flowers, bird watching and listening to music. She enjoyed her favorite television shows from her trusty recliner. Her dedication to her family was unmatched and her legacy lives on through them. Sharon adored her ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She loved her cat Mr. Bojangles. A Celebration of Sharon's life will take place on July 8, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, butterfly release at 6:00 pm, at Mt. Calvary at Kennesaw Subdivision Clubhouse. It is located at Gladys Court, Marietta, GA 30064. In lieu of flowers or any donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
