Fairburn Southern Funerals & Cremations
Dustain Charles Mayo of Concord, Georgia passed away on Saturday July 1, 2023. He was a man that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Dusty was always smiling, laughing, and joking. He loved riding motorcycles and working on them, but most of all he loved his family. Dusty was a good father and an amazing person that loved all his family and friends, from all walks of life. He didn’t always make the best choices, but if you needed it, he would give you the shirt off his back. He adored his granddaughter so much and wanted so badly to be a normal family and to be all together. He wasn’t a perfect man, but he sure was a good one. He will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Mayo; and grandparents Don and Frances Stevens, and Linwood and Maebelle Mayo.
Dusty leaves behind to cherish his memory son Zachary (Hailey) Mayo; daughter Sierra (Zachary) Badgley; granddaughter Willow Badgley and grandson on the way Jackson Mayo; Mother Gerri Samples and bonus dad Randy Samples; sister Traci Edwards; brothers Danny McElwaney and Shane Samples; bonus sisters Kimberly Morgan and Robin Bright; a host of other relatives; and friends that he considered family.

I can’t believe your really gone. I’m sorry I turned u down over and over again. All you ever wanted was a chance and I blew u off every time. U never gave up on what u wanted that’s for sure. Lol. Our last conversation u was trying to get me to go to fl with u. Lol. I was like um hell no. Lmao. R.I.P my friend. You will be missed . You could be stubborn as ever. You made some extremely bad choices. And u were just an ass some times. Pardon my language. But imma miss you and ur annoying pushy text lol..
Zach & Sierra, There are no words to adequately convey such sorrow, praying for peace and comfort to ease the pain of such a heartbreaking loss xoxoxo
I was one of Dusty’s teachers in Middle School and remember him as enthusiastic, loving, and a joy. He didn’t always have an easy time with his assignments, but he always had a positive attitude and friendly demeanor. He was pleasure to teach and I have thought of him often over the years. I am sorry for the family’s loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Always my Bubba and so loved. Traci
