Norman Kerry Grantham, Sr., age 75, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at WellStar Tranquility Hospice with his loving family by his side following and extended illness.
Norman was born March 21, 1939 in Brookhaven, GA to the late Darris Lamar and Nellie Gertrude Hicks Grantham. He was a graduate of Chamblee High School. Norman worked Sales and Delivery for the Rentex, Corp. until he retired after many years of service.
In addition to his parents Norman is preceded in death by his son; Norman Kerry Grantham, Jr. and a sister; Joyce Ledford.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years; Magdalena Dietz Schmidt Grantham of Acworth, son; Christopher Grantham of Fayetteville, daughters; Sonya Wright and her husband Tony of Rome, Melissa Hopper and her husband Patrick of Rome, Patricia Dietz-Selke and her husband David of Johns Creek, Angela Dietz of Acworth, son; Ronald Dietz of Mableton, daughters; Sandra Lopitz and her husband Nicholas of Holly Springs, son; Dave Grantham of Rome, grandchildren; Nicholas Binkley of Rome, Kaylie Binkley of Rome, Alec G. Dietz of Acworth, Madison T. Dietz-Walworth of Holly Springs, Kaitlyn Anderson of Marietta, Kristin Selke of Cumming, Brandy Selke of Atlanta, Anna Hopper of Rome, Ashley Hopper of Rome and Zachary Grantham of Rome, brother; Earl Grantham and his wife Dee of Bradenton, FL, sister; Sandra Trentham and her husband Ralph of Westminster, SC, brother-in-law; Terry Ledford of Ellijay, numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and loving friends.
A Celebration of Norman's life is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the Chapel of Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill. Dr. William Camp will be officiating. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 10:00 am to service time.
