Ralph Bicknell passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 8, 2016. He was born in Jamestown, TN 91 yrs ago but was raised in Dayton, OH. He served honorably during WWII in England and France with the Army Air Corps. In 1994 he retired from Auto Owners Insurance Company but
continue- as an independent insurance agent, lastly with Owen and Associates of Marietta. He was an active member of the Marietta Golden "K" Kiwanis and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was also a member of Hillside United Methodist Church (HUMC) in Woodstock. He leaves wife Judie Bicknell of Woodstock, sister Judy (John) Chestnut of OH: daughters Cindy (Jim) Landis and Mary (Dirk) Cochran of OH, Peggy Bicknell of MI; step-children Sharie (Dan) Williams of Kennesaw and Todd(Melissa) Moore of Euharlee as well as 7 grandsons and 2 granddaughters, and 4 great-grand children. He also leaves sisters-in-law Jean Bicknell of OH and Minnie Bicknell of FL, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Theodore and Anna Bicknell, daughter Patricia Bicknell, sister Joyce Jordan and brothers Don, Gene and Jerry Bicknell and one granddaughter. Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at HUMC with internment at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Honor Flight, P.O. Box 81122, Conyers, Georgia 30013.
