Lena Ruth Rodgers

Ms. Lena Ruth Rodgers, age 87, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Friday June 14, 2013. She was born on May 22, 1926 in Kingston, Jamaica. Lena was a retired school teacher of the "Los Angeles City School Systems". She was also a graduate of "Biola University" in La Mirada, California. Lena's passion was serving the Lord in many different capacities. She was an Evangelist, a Sunday school teacher, a Secretary, and the C.E. Director of Missions. Her most important saying was: "I desire to be like Jesus". She was preceded in her death by her siblings, "Victor Rodgers" and "Teresa White". She is survived by her sister Milicent Townsend and her husband Alpheaus; brother, Ernest Rodgers and his wife Pearl. Lena also leaves to cherish 8 nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
