  8. When I met Mabel (mom in law) it was 1956 October the 3rd.Lewis and Ijust landed in Salt Lake City from Berlin Germany. I was a little scared not knowing what to expect. But Mom and the girls and Butch were waiiting for us. Well I was treated like one of the family. Thats when I met my other MOM.I remember her mostly at all our family parties she always had a joke or funny story to tell . She loved her country music to her there was only one kind COUNTRY. My kind did not exist classical haha.If any one needed to get honored it was Mabel. She raised her five children by herself by working hard and teaching them to be self relient. Her life was almost like my own Mom Who raised four children during the war. I can truthfully say that Iam proud of both my Moms. I can only hope that I can have the love and strenght of these two Women .My love to two great ladys Helga Price`

I love you and see you later alligator.

  14. Theres so much I wish to say, but I’ll keep it short.

Grammy, i will always miss spending almost every summer with you. Going downstairs before dinner and stealing cookies from you without anyone knowing you always told me “It would be our little secret”. Right then as a little girl I knew we’d be the best of friends. Listening to country music with you, and dancing will always be my favorite thing to do with you, aside from listening to your absolutely magnificent stories you always had. I will forever and always be your sneaky snake. I will never forget all the times i would sneak up on you, just to hear you call me that name. I guess now you can sneak up on me 🙂 It will be a never ending sneak fest for now on. Please dont zap my butt to hard when i visit you at the Meireis Bench. Anyways, i love you Grammy and miss you tremendously.

  15. “HEY GRAMMY” is something that I will always miss shouting as I visit your home. I remember being so small and thinking it was the coolest thing ever to sleep on your tiny couch and hear your stories. I loved listening to your life, Grammy, and I will never forget all the ways you influenced me. You gave me a love for reading and a fire for independence, and I can never thank you enough for that. I am so grateful that I was blessed with so many moments with you, and I already feel such a void without you here. But I know that I will one day have stories to tell my tiny relatives too thanks to you. I can’t wait to tell them about my adventures, just like you told me about yours. I am so happy that in heaven you can see and dance and sing with all the country greats as loud as you want. And one day I know I’ll be right up there with you. I love you, Grammy and I’m so glad that you were such an integral part of my life.

  16. We will love and miss you forever. You were a wonderful woman, friend, mother, grandmother, and country music fan. My memories of you will always warm my heart.

  17. PS

It’s been over a week and there’s not one day that goes by that you don’t cross my mind. I love knowing you can see clearly, and dance your big ol’ heart away. I love that I can brag about my fantastic Grammy and share your stories and your life with others. I hope you and my daddy are having a great time together. Can’t wait to see y’all again some day.

  18. Well Mom, it has been over a week and I want you to know that you are really missed. Wait for the call for breakfast, but it doesn’t come. You were my mother longer than my own mother was. I am so glad to have the wonderful memories that we have shared over the 50 years. Also very glad that my children and grandchildren have such wonderful memories of you. You had a long life and was able to share it with many. It is hard to believe that you are not downstairs. Hope you have found Butchie and the two of you are dancing, telling stories and having a great time. You are truly MISSED!

  19. I remember being a kid going to Aunt Mabels’ residence located in the L.A. California area hanging out under her large avocado tree. I remember always gathering up the avocados to take home. Aunt Mabel you will be missed. May you walk with the Lord the rest of your days. Love Donivan.
