Beverly Gail Hillegass, born March 13, 1944, passed away April 19, 2014 at the age of 70. She is survived by her beloved husband, Evan R. Hillegass; son, Randy Diehl; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Albert Lewis; brothers, Bill and Darrel Calhoun; sisters, Bonnie May and Diane Chalfont. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Rebecca Calhoun, and sisters, Karen Lesh, Sandra Calhoun and Cindy Calhoun. Beverly was born and raised in Bedford, PA and later moved to Georgia where she raised her family. She worked 25 years at Owens Illinois Glass. She always talked about the good times she had on her bowling league with both friends and co-workers. She later moved back to Pennsylvania where she met Evan at the Moose Lodge. They were married 18 years. They lived in Florida for ten years and moved to Georgia a year and a half ago to be closer to family. Beverly spent here time listening to country music and watching her shopping networks. Although she did not get out and about often, she loved the latest in fashion, jewelry and skin care. She was an avid reader of mystery romances and a host of magazines. Her shih tzus, Shu Shu and Missy Sue, were near and dear to her heart; those two girls were her pride and joy. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Angel's House, a children's shelter. http://www.theangelshouse.org/how-you-can-help/donate/ The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
