Rutherford "Buck" Buchanan of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 peacefully with his family by his side. Buck was born January 27, 1933 near Day, Florida to R. H. and Vera Buchanan who predeceased him. Buck and Ellouise Wescoat married on May 18, 1958. Buck has lived in the Marietta are since 1962 where he attended Georgia State University and worked at Lockheed Georgia. After retiring from Lockheed in 1990, Buck traveled, square danced, fished and enjoyed his family. Buck was a member of the Windy Hill Square Dance Club and Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Buck is survived by his loving wife Ellouise, a daughter Lori (Tom) Taylor, Daughter Staci Buchanan granddaughters: Lindsey (Jared) Tatham and Lauren (Brett) Dial, also, the apple of his eye great granddaughter Ella Tatham. Buck is also survived by his brother; Willilam Buchanan of St. Mary's Georgia, his sister Ola Belle Mebane of Ellicott City, Maryland and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 3 o'clock P.M. until 5 o'clock P.M. in the Southern Cremations and Funerals Columbarium at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
