Michael Smashey

Michael Wayne Smashey, age 37 died Monday, February 23, 2015. Michael was born May 30, 1977 in LaGrange, Illinois the only son of Markus and Loretta Smashey. He graduated from Harrison High School and was last employed as owner and operator of Prestige Auto Spa in Dallas, Georgia. Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents; Francis and Aileen Smashey, Ralph and Ruby Draper and step-grandmother; Mildred Draper. Survivors include his loving parents; Markus W. and Loretta Draper Smashey of Powder Springs, sisters; Melissa Butzer and her husband Jeffery of Marietta, Christina Smith and her husband Jeremy of Bogart, aunt; Linda Draper of St. Louis, MO, nephews; Francis and Felix Butzer, niece; Violet Smith other relatives and loving friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Mausoleum Chapel at Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill. A Celebration of Michael's life is scheduled for 3:30 pm Saturday, February 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill.
