James Owen Wesson

Nearly 82 years and in the blink of an eye, he was gone! But what a life well lived! Known to many as Jim or Jimmy, he was also known as Dad, Papa and Mr. Luigi, just to name a few. He would tell you that though he is no longer with us physically in this life, we should not cry, but celebrate! He is survived by his great love, Sunnie Kurtzman, his four children; Tawanna Wesson (Ronald Dutton), James Michael Wesson (Jeanne), David B. Wesson (Tina) and Atoyia Wesson Blackwell; six grandchildren; Bart Davis (Rachel), Blake Sturgill (Josefina), Craig Wesson, Derek Wesson (Jenny Ferrick), Sam Blackwell, Makenzie Blackwell, five great-grandchildren; Eli Davis, Gracie Davis, Lucas Sturgill, Jimmy Sturgill, Bailey Wesson. He is also survived by sisters Aleene Wesson, Linda Wesson; brothers Bill Wesson (Tina), Bob Wesson (Gaye) and Larry Wesson. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19 at 5:00 pm at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park located at 1861 Dallas Highway, Marietta, GA 30064. The Memorial Service will be Wednesday, April 20 at 2:00 pm at the same location.
