Mr. Udel Sr. Richardson

October 7, 1936 ~ January 10, 2015

Udel Richardson, Sr., age 78 of Kennesaw, GA went to be with the Lord January 10, 2015 with family by his side following an extended illness. Udel was born in Harlan, Kentucky to the late William Richardson, Sr. and Anna A. Laws Richardson. Udel worked for many years with various government entities including the IRS, the National Science Foundation and the Government Printing Office. Most notably he owned and operated Network Press which he started in 1985 and retired from in 2007. He was a wonderful and giving man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. In addition to his parents, Udel is preceded in death by his 6 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include his loving wife; Peggy J. Richardson of Kennesaw, daughter; Udella Joyce Walker and her husband Mark of East Cobb, son; Udel Richardson, Jr. and his wife Kristen of West Cobb, grandchildren; Justin Walker and his wife Amanda of Woodstock, Ashten Dick and her husband Caleb of Birmingham, AL, Presley Richardson of West Cobb and Udel "Tripp" Richardson, III of West Cobb, great granddaughter; Kennedy Walker of Woodstock, numerous other relatives and loving friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Mount Paran North Church of God, 1700 Allgood Road, Marietta, GA 30062. Dr. Mark L. Walker will be officiating. Entombment services will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 am to service time.
