‘To Eric, Mya, Xavier and extended family – Jody was one of a kind. She was loving, inspirational, gorgeous, open minded, one heck of a good cook, a fantastic hostess, inclusive to all, extremely generous, and very honest. I’m so lucky I met her when our kids were young and we formed such a wonderful friendship. She touched my heart deeply and I’m so proud to call her one of my best friends. My life wouldn’t have been the same without her. Her memory will live on through Eric, Mya and Xavier. I look forward to sharing happy memories with you all this weekend. The Jody I know would be looking down and expect to see smiles and laughter in her honor. She will never be forgotten. Big hugs to you all. – Pshedesky Family, Family Friends, Tampa, FL Feb 04, 2016’

  8. Valerie Jordan, Coworker says:

‘Dear Eric, Mya and Xavier and Family: My heart is so sad to hear of Jody’s passing. She was instrumental in getting me a position in the College of Education working for her. We grew close over the last five years. She was not only my supervisor but became a good friend. She would cook and bring me lunch for she knew how I loved to eat. She welcomed me into her home for all the kids’ birthday parties. Wonderful memories that I will forever cherish. May God Bless her as she rest now in peace and will no longer suffer on this side of Heaven. She was a wonderful wife and mother and friend to all who knew her.’

  9. ‘My prayers are to all of the family for your loss.

I met Jody about seven years ago at USF in the College of Education. Yes, I will remember her passing my office calling out Morning Mrs. Mary and times talking about the family. No more suffering, and maybe later it will be easier to understand that Jody was loved by all and we know that God knew what was best.

Eric, Mya and Xavier she will always be your angel.

    Mary Smith, Tampa, Fl 2/21/16’
