Russell Paul Krueger, 62, was called home to rejoice in the kingdom of Heaven with his parents, Rudi and Anne Krueger on Saturday, February 1st, 2014. Born on October 8th, 1951 in Shawano, WI; no one knew the positive impact he would share with his family, friends and collegues. Married on October 11th, 1975 to his life-long friend and high school sweetheart, Kathy Laehn. They set a wonderful example through their 38 years of marriage.
As a resident of Marietta, GA for the past 24 years, he was heavily involved with church, Habitat for Humanity and baseball. In his professional life, while working for the same company for 38 years, he was a mentor, teacher and friend to all he encountered. Whether it was singing in the church choir or performing the National Anthem at a Braves' game, he made everyone smile through his voice.
He is survived by the love of his life, Kathy Krueger and children; Melissa, Rusty, Jessica, Elizabeth and his "Sweet Pea", Sydney. He is also survived by his three amazing sisters, Rudi Heinz, Rachel Pankow and Rhonda Jenkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to: The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or American Heart Association. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 2922 Sandy Plains Rd., Marietta, GA 30066, on Saturday February 8th at 1pm.









Such wonderful memories of Russ and the guys in the band. Such an enduring love always between Kathy & Russ. I am so sorry for his loss.
