Gwendolyn was born July 8, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois. She loved to skate and read, most of all she loved to dance and step in the name of love. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sterling and Mary Gildersleeve. She is survived by her children Jontalee Marquave Gildersleeve and wife Angelina Marie Gildersleeve of Atlanta, GA; Jabez Benitez Gildersleeve of Flint, MI; Chalon Clinique Parker-Atkins, Demarcus Edward Atkins, of Miami, FL; Iris Jane' Gildersleeve of Atlanta, GA; Jalen Malik Gildersleeve of Atlanta, GA; and Amarri Javon Gildersleeve of Atlanta, GA. Her grandchildren; Jaiden Marquave Gildersleeve, Jonas Jabez Gildersleeve, and Javon Malik Gildersleeve of Atlanta, GA; Naysa Danae McFarlane and Zuir Monet Atkins of Miami, Fl; and King Ali Gildersleeve, Symphony Lynn Gildersleeve, Shyne Alon Gildersleeve, Freedom Rae Gildersleeve, and Cannon Benitez Gildersleeve of Flint, MI. She is also survived by her siblings Ronald Eugene Gildersleeve, Carl Anthony Gildersleeve, Erroll Dwayne Gildersleeve, Beth Kimberly Gildersleeve-Lindley; Aaron S. Lindley, Carolyn Prevost, Sterling Jr., and Wanda Prevost.
The family will have visitation at 1:30PM-2:00PM on Wednesay May 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park and the Memorial Service will following.
