Mary Wilma Cummans Welsh passed away peacefully Tuesday September 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Joan Welsh Owsley, her husband of 54 years Ralph Peyton Welsh, and her grandson Nicholas Troy Owsley. Wilma is survived by her daughters Debra Freeman (Mike), Judith Payne, and Barbara Willis as well as her 8 grandchildren Melissa Sewell (Mathew), Christopher Willis, Tim Freeman, Jacqueline Owsley-Joachim (Danny) Kyle Willis (Elizabeth), Jason Freeman, Jennifer Payne, Aaron Payne (Olivia). She also has 7 great grandchildren Hunter Sewell, Trenten Willis, Claire Sewell, James Freeman, Peyton Owsley, Caleb Willis, and Logan Willis. Her 8th great grand child, which is a girl, is due in December.
Wilma worked for 28 years as a federal employee working in VA hospitals in Arkansas and Tennessee, and also at Fort MacPherson in Georgia. After her retirement in 1985, she and her husband Ralph were able to travel and enjoy going to Key Largo where they had a second home. Wilma loved her family and strived to make sure everyone was taken care of. She was loved by not only her family but anyone that came to know her.
