Mr. David Brewster

David Edward Brewster was born September 19, 1947 in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Laurence and Margaret Brewster. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1965. He served two years of active duty in Vietnam followed by attendance at Western Washington University, where he graduated in 1973. Dave had a long and productive career with Georgia-Pacific's Building Products Division, where he also served on several industry committees and boards. He was highly thought of by his company and associates in the industry. He retired from G-P in Atlanta, GA after 35 years of distinguished service. Dave was an avid musician all his life, from having his own band in his youth to being a member of the church choir. He was an outstanding photographer, world traveler, dedicated ALTA tennis player, and an active member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Marietta. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Patricia, two children, daughter Jennifer Brewster Coughlin (husband Steve Coughlin) and their children, Thomas and David Coughlin, and his son Michael Brewster (wife, Kristen Brewster) and their children Caroline and Cassidy Brewster. His is also survived by his sister Carol Garguile (husband Dominic Garguile) and brother Steve Brewster, both of Bellingham, WA. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 12th at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 4905 Roswell Rd, Marietta, GA 30062. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that contributions be made in memory of David Brewster to the MS 150, BikeMSNorthwest, 192 Nickerson Street #100, Seattle, WA 98109.
