Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Patrick O'Connor Walker was born on March 17, 1936 (St. Patrick's Day) in Arima, Trinidad to parents Elizabeth Dyett and Parker Walker. He was the youngest of five children, Knolly, Lloyd, Sheila and Terrance. Patrick was the husband of Vida Rita Church Walker for 55 years and the father of three children, Larry, Laureen and Garry.
Patrick lived in Trinidad for 33 years before moving to Brooklyn, New York in 1969 to join his wife, Vida Walker. In 1971 his children joined them and they lived in Queens, New York. In 1990, Patrick and Vida moved to Florida and in 2005 they moved to Austell, Georgia to reside near one of their children. His final abode was Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, in Kennesaw Georgia, where he resided until his peaceful passing on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
Patrick loved to dance and sing to the Calypso beat with his wife, family and friends. After 25 years, he retired as a Vice-President from Chase Manhattan Bank in Manhattan, New York. Patrick had a gentle and kind spirt. He enjoyed being around his children, grand children and great-grand children. His face just lit up with a huge smile when he saw them.
