Moses E Miles, Jr.

September 15, 1949 ~ August 7, 2017

Moses Edward Miles, age 67, passed away in Metter, GA, on Monday, August 7, 2017 after an extended illness. Moses was born in Linthicum, Maryland and after graduating from Andover High School enlisted in the U.S. Army where he received an Honorable Discharge. He was a skilled computer technician and attended Gannon College majoring in Computer Engineering. He was employed by several government organizations including the NSA, Greenbelt, MD and U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. He is survived by his children with his former wife, MaryAlice Miles, his son, Moses Edward Miles, III and wife Kathy, his son, David Vincent Miles and wife Caroline, and his daughter, Roxanne Marie Miles. Four grandchildren, Keira, Olivia, Alicia, and Atticus Miles. Three sisters, Stella Miles, TillyAnn Lynn, husband Darnell, and Julie Miles, and four brothers, William Miles, wife Glenda, Charles Miles, wife Dianne, Thomas Miles, wife Marion, and Mark Miles and also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Darryl Alexander Miles, his parents, Moses Miles and Dorothy Edwards Miles, sisters, Mary Hyman and Virginia Spriggs, and brother David Miles. A memorial service will be held at the chapel of Southern Cremations & Funerals, 1861 Dallas Highway, SW, Marietta, GA on Saturday, August 12, 2017 by Rev. Marlon Longacre. Interment will be held at a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
