John "Mike" Powell

John "Mike" Powell, age 63, of Powder Springs, GA passed away peacefully at his residence on January 6, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 16, 1954 in Moultrie, GA to his parents John & Azilee Powell and is preceded in death by his father, John Powell. He is survived by his son, Jason & Kayla Powell of Hiram, GA; Brother, Roger & Lyn Powell of Panama City Beach, FL; Sisters, Gayle & Darrell Dodd of Dallas, GA; Barbara Henderson of Hiram, GA; Sherri & William Cramer of Land O' Lakes, FL; Susan & Rick Becker of Boca Raton, FL; and Mary & Paul Christianson of North Charleston, SC; Grandson, William B. Powell and many nieces and nephews. Private family viewing will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 1:30-2:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Southern Cremation & Funerals at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park-1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, GA 30064. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Garden, located on the premises. Rev. Phillip Napier will be officiating the service at 2 PM. He will be greatly missed by all his family & friends.
