Bobbie Willis

February 5, 1941 ~ July 20, 2023

Bobbie Willis, God's servant, passed away on July 20, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was only 82 years young. While Bobbie's loved ones and family are deeply saddened and grieving her loss, they are choosing to celebrate her life and remember her in a way that honors her spirit. Bobbie was born on February 05, 1941, in Greenwood, Mississippi. Bobbie is survived by her five children and son-in-laws Renita Zidani (Mostafa Zidani), Jenice Collins, Vincent Willis, Kecia Willis-Logan (Maurice Logan), and her youngest son Doran Willis. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved her immensely, Sharif Harris, Vincent Willis Jr, Christina Willis, Tyshawn Logan, Donte' Willis, Devin Willis, and Marcus Logan, and her great-grandchildren, Markesico Collins, Desiree' Sha-nice McCloud, Khloe, and Karter Chevannes. Bobbie is forever remembered by her surviving siblings Beverly Miles, Clifton Mallet, and Irvin Miles, and ex-husband William R Willis her true love and friends till the end. Her aunt Bunch, the last matriarch on her mother's side, truly loved her. Bobbie is preceded in death by Mae Ella (Mother), Ann (Grandmother), Odesa (Sister), Malcolm (Beloved grandson), and other family members who had a significant influence on whom she became as a person. Bobbie's life was a tremendous triumphant story of faith, hard work, and her willingness to sacrifice all for her children's betterment and love. As a single mom who lived in a segregated small southern town and faced adversaries and unloved, her determination that her children would not have to endure the pain and humiliation she had met most of her life was unmeasurable. Her journey on this earth was both tragic and wonderful. She lost her beloved grandson Malcolm at a tender age. Her faith in the Lord carried her through this traumatic event and made her stronger. She became a foster mother to many unwanted babies and children. She gave them unconditional love, family, and a sense of being wanted. God bestowed blessing by allowing her to see some of the world's wonders, like the great pyramids of Egypt, sailing down the Nile, and Mount Sinai, where Moses received the ten commandments from God. She saw the wonders of Mexico's ancient pyramids and archeological sites. What a wonderful tribute; a young girl born and living in the South picking cotton and tobacco could escape from her bondage and experience adventures that most people only dreamed of doing. She was imperfect, made mistakes, and was beautifully flawed. She recognized her shortcomings and prayed to God to guide her toward his righteousness. She prayed to God to learn how to read his word, and God answered her prays. She taught herself to read by devoting all her time to reading the bible and comprehending God's message. She was afraid of public speaking but conquered that fear and became a faithful servant of God by spreading her beloved Lord's message from New York to Mississippi to spiritual seekers. Young people from all backgrounds will flock to her to hear God's message. Her devotion and dedication to God have transitioned her from an angered, broken, hurt child to a woman who was radiant with confidence and was no longer afraid to open herself up to show love and receive love, show compassion toward others, and adventure out of her comfort zone. Bobbie's earthly body is gone, but she passed God's test, and now she is alive with our Lord and Savior. She awaits a reunion with her loved ones and family members in heaven. She is now a guardian angel for all who love the Lord. Her life is an excellent example of God's Mercy and Love. She will walk with us all until the day we all meet again in heaven. SHE PASSED THE TEST, AND NOW SHE WILL RECEIVE HER REWARD - HER ANGELIC WINGS! Guestbook

  1. Aunt Bobbie you are missed. I remember when my oldest, Terilise, was born and I spent the weekend over your house. You made me feel loved, your food was off the hook and I felt home. I have all the memories of when you and Uncle Booby would visit. When Kecia and Dee were born. Always in my heart.
