Born in Norfolk, VA on January 19th, 1969 she is survivedby her loving husband of 22 years, Heath Leonard; Lovingly remembered by her motherDonna Marasco and husband Ray Marasco, brother Brian Bender, sister Jennifer Ducharme, children Kathryn Bender(Banks), Tyler Owens, and Cortney Reinhardt as well as 7 grandchildren. Services are to be held at Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill at 1861 DallasHighway in Marietta, GA on Saturday October 21st. Visitation is to commence at 2 p.m. withservices to follow. Shawna, a phenomenal wife and mother, took joy in being an integral part of hergrandchildren's lives, creating cherished moments together. No matter where she went, asense of warmth and radiance followed her, brightening any room she entered. Her familyand friends meant the world to her, and she selflessly devoted herself to helping others.Shawna’s happiest moments were on vacation, whether it was sipping a drink on thebeaches of Cancun, exploring the snowy mountains of Seattle, or even riding a rollercoasterwith her hands raised high and laughter filling the air. She was an extraordinary woman whoembraced life’s challenges and made the most of every situation. Shawna’s impact on theworld was profound, and her legacy will endure through all the fortunate individuals who hadthe privilege of knowing her.
