Margaret Brown was born on February 15, 1937, in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Freddie and Mildred Blake. Margaret attended public school in Charleston, South Carolina and Evander Charles High School in The Bronx, New York. Margaret met the love of her life Mr. Vincent Brown of Brooklyn, New York, and they married on November 17, 1962. Margaret worked as a presser for many years until she retired. She later came out of retirement to work in the medical field as a Home Health Aide, where she cared for the elderly who loved and adored her for her gentle and loving ways. Margaret loved to tell jokes and recite poetry, she was hilarious. Margaret had a deep love for Trinidad Caribbean culture. She often traveled to Trinidad many times with her very special friend of 35 years, Mr. Patrick Leopode. Margaret loved to dance, her favorite move was the whine, and she whined all the way down. Though she had no children, Margaret was a mother to every child she came in contact with. She was everything to her nieces and nephews. Margaret never missed a birthday, graduation or holiday. She gave them everything they asked for and you better not have told her niece, Teasha, and grandniece, Kharisma, wasn't her babies. Margaret's big sister, Elaine, was her best friend and the two were inseparable. She would take Elaine's daughter, Faith, out and tell all of her friends that Faith was her daughter. Faith, at a very young age, knew to call her aunt Margaret mommy around certain people and she never forgot. Margaret Brown was a Bad, Bold and Beautiful women - a phenomenal woman. She will never be forgotten and forever loved. Margaret had four brothers who proceeded her in death, Mr. Thearthur Blake, Mr. Freddie E. Blake Jr, Mr. Isaac Blake and Mr. Louis Blake; four sisters, Ms. Elaine Blake-Mims, Ms. Yvonne Blake, Ms. Cathy Blake Richards, Ms. Gwenda F. Baylor; and her loving Aunt who helped raised her, Ms. Emma Blake Frayer. Margaret leaves to morn her three sisters, Ms. Gail M Blake, Felicia and Arnold Cummings; and Emmajean D Blake; three brothers, Charles A Blake, Vincent R Blake Sr, and Harold D Blake; two cousins, Ms. Ethel Lee Wright and Mr. Aruthur Jones. Margaret was blessed to have seen four generations of nieces and nephews.
