Richard McCloud, age 84 of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
He was born on June 29, 1933 in Atlanta, GA to I.E. and Marguerite (Powers) McCloud. He attended Marist and Fitzhugh Lee School in Smyrna, GA. Richard proudly served his country in the Navy and the Air Force. He later married Jane Gay on November 3, 1961 in Atlanta, GA. Jane passed away on January 23, 2013. Richard was a retired fireman from Dobbins Air Force Base. He served in the Air Force reserve and was small business owner, maintaining a pool business for over 50 years. Surviving is his daughter, Carolyn Ann McCloud; brothers, James McCloud, Thomas McCloud and Guinness, his grand dog.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday March 7, 2018 at Catholic Church of St. Ann, 4905 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30064. Visitation will be held on Monday and Tuesday, March 5th and 6th in the Columbarium at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, 1861 Dallas Highway SW Marietta, GA 30064.
Entombment will follow at the Historic Cheatham Hill Mausoleum. Those desiring memorials may contribute in memory to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 760 Pollard Blvd SW Atlanta, GA 30315.
