Omaira Canino de Pulido

February 13, 1945 ~ November 24, 2023

Omaira Valentina Canino de Pulido was born on February 14, 1945 to her parents, Oscar Canino and Daria Castillo and passed away peacefully on Friday November 24th, 2023. A beloved matriarch, she was the pillar and strength of her family. With her husband the late Jose Antonio Pulido, they raised their five children with boundless love, compassion and a profound faith in the Lord. “Abuelita” had many “superpowers": - Her ultra-developed sense of smell (which magically stopped working in the presence of the "blessed" scent of her grandchildren's diapers). - Her exceptionally special heart, which gave her the power to love unconditionally to the point where she was willing to make any sacrifice for her family. - Her eagle-vision, which gave her the power to notice absolutely anything and everything! - Her sense of super-hearing; capable of hearing even the deepest silence within each and every one of us. - Her hyper-speed, which she used to cook for her children, grandchildren, and the army of people who would come in and out of the house every day!!! - Her great wisdom, which permeated into every bit of advice that she granted us. She will live in our hearts forever. Omaira is left to be cherished by her daughter Patricia Omaira and her sons José Antonio, Carlos Alberto, Héctor Manuel and Luis Eduardo and their spouses: Dalia, Mariela, Daniela, Luis Carlos and María Alejandra as well as her grandkids: Daniel A, Mariana I, José A, Héctor J, Andres A, Luis G, Marina I, Samantha I, Sofía , José A, Luis A, Santiago and Claudia.
