Robert Ellis Eassey, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 5, 2024. He was born on October 12, 1936, and his remarkable journey touched the lives of many. Robert proudly served as a Marine from 1953 to 1956, demonstrating his dedication to his country. Following his military service, he embarked on a lifelong career as an electrician with IBEW Local 613 in Atlanta, where he served faithfully for 45 years. His commitment to his profession was unwavering, and his expertise was admired by colleagues and friends alike. In his family life, Robert Eassey was predeceased by his wife, Jean Eassey; father, Ellis Eassey; his mother, Roberta Eassey; his brothers, Michael Eassey, and Freddy Eassey; and his sisters, Joyce Johnston and Shirley Huddleston. Though they may be physically apart, their spirits remain intertwined in the memories they shared. Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his son, Robert Eassey Jr., and his two daughters, Jennifer Mansour and Suzanne Eassey. His presence will forever be cherished by his 11 grandchildren: Beau Eassey, Kayla Meyhew, Nicole McCurley, Ayden Eassey, Adrianna Eassey, Summer Harrison, Adam Mansour, Brent Bailey, Cody Bailey, Alex Thompson, and Breannah Brundage. Additionally, he is survived by 14 great-grandchildren: Lily Taylor, Penny McCurley, Jack McCurley, Sean Harrison, Kaleb Harrison, Savannah Harrison, Ryder Williams, Jaxton Mansour, Bella Bailey, Britton Bailey, Kaiser Bailey, London Thompson, Kanyon Thompson and Coen Thomson. He was also blessed to have 2 great-great-grandchildren, Kyler Harrison and Damon Goodrich, who will carry forward the essence of his love and warmth. Beyond his professional and family life, Robert had a deep passion for gardening, fishing, and dancing. He found joy in the simplicity of life's pleasures. He had a fondness for old westerns and cherished the timeless tunes of old country music. His infectious sense of humor and warm smile endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert was a character in the truest sense, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered. In the hearts of family and friends, Robert Ellis Eassey will forever be remembered as a loving, jovial, and caring individual. His spirit will continue to live on through the stories and memories shared by all who loved him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will endure through the generations. Rest in peace, Robert Ellis Eassey. You will always be cherished and never forgotten.
