Elizabeth Ann Johnson

December 1, 1942 ~ January 14, 2024

Elizabeth Ann Brown Johnson, born December 1, 1942, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed on to her eternal life at the age of 81 on January 14, 2024 after battling Parkinson’s. She was one of eight children born to Gilbert and Margaret Brown of Atlanta, Georgia. She leaves behind six surviving siblings: June, Becky, Benny, Steve, Tim, and Dean. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961. During her working years, she held various clerical and administrative positions. She married her high school boyfriend, Walter L. Johnson, in June 1963. Together, they have three children: Robert, Wayne, and Tracy; eight grandchildren: Nicholas, Josh, Kelsey, Christina, Ryan, Katie, Rachel, and Ayla; and three great-grandchildren: Christopher, Arlo, and Emily. Ann, better known as “Gangong” by her grandchildren and close family, loved children and shared her love when she taught Sunday school at Lilburn First Baptist Church. Ann not only loved children, but also big family gatherings, vacationing with her sisters, watching Jimmy Swaggart, shopping, and drinking her Coca-Cola. Life without Gangong will never be the same. Celebration of Life services will be held at the chapel of Southern Cremations & Funerals at Holly Hill on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends may viist from 10 AM to the hour of service on Thursday. Please express your condolences here on our website.
