Yasmin Geisel (Robinson) Florence was born September 29, 1956 to the late LTC (RET) Benjamin Franklin Robinson and late Vera Mae Robinson at Fort Benning in Fort Benning, Georgia. Preceded in Yasmin’s transition, was her beautiful son Justin Quincy Robinson; her father LTC (RET) Benjamin Franklin Robinson; and her mother Vera Mae Robinson.
Yasmin confessed her life to Christ at an early age. Once Yasmin moved to Palmetto, Georgia, she became a member of the Fairburn First Baptist Church Fairburn, Ga.
She graduated from Spencer High School (Columbus, Ga.) in 1974. She married Tony Florence in
July 1973 in Columbus, GA. After a short separation, she relocated to Miami, FL where she resided for 20 years. During this time, she gave birth to her beautiful late son, Justin Quincy Robinson on December 12, 1993 in Miami, Fl. Justin was her life, her everything. She and Justin moved to Palmetto, Ga. in 2007 and she remarried Tony Florence March 8,2008. She and Justin traveled the world together. Going places such as Japan, Amsterdam, Bolivia, Australia, Tokyo, Costa Rica just to name a few. She was a very active mother. She was a true band mom. She was at every band concert, football game, band event.
Yasmin was a people person. She was the life of the party and never met a stranger. During her career she worked at Fieldcrest Cannon(Phenix City, AL), Shannon Mall (Union City, Ga.), Delta(Atlanta, Ga.) and the Renaissance Festival(Fairburn, GA.)
She peacefully transitioned from this life on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 12:17am. She leaves her memories to: Her husband, Tony Florence (Palmetto, GA); Brothers, Jeffrey Robinson (Columbus, GA) and Kinselar Robinson (Atlanta, GA); Sister in laws, Vivian and Deborah Snelling (both of Columbus, GA); Aunt, Patricia (Cleveland) Ashley(Midland, GA); Nieces, Shanreta Astosha Robinson and Tristaca Ashanti Robinson (both of Columbus, GA); Lauren (Tyrone) Robinson-Midder (Pennsylvania, PA), Karen and Kittie Jordan (both of Columbus, GA); Nephews, Rashad (Shonda) Robinson (Douglasville, GA), Julian (Sharon) Harris (Madison, WI), Jackie Tarbet (Columbus, GA); Cousin, Demetrius (Denny) Evert of Redbank, NJ; her loving companion who stayed by her side to the very end, her fur baby Star; a host of great nieces, great nephews, family, and friends.








My beloved niece will be missed. Take comfort in the fact that she is at peace….
