Katherine Virginia Pim

Katherine Virginia Pim, 88, passed peacefully 7:20 am on April, 15th 2018 in Marietta, Georgia. Katherine is survived by her two surviving sisters, Eileen Sorrow, of Mississippi; and Mary Lou Sansone of Ohio. She is preceded in death by her late husband, John Paul Pim of Boone, Iowa; her parents Mabel and Bill of Boone, Iowa; and her sister, Patricia Hora and brother Harry Nickerson. Katherine was born on May 5th, 1929 in Wheeling, West Virginia. Katherine was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, she married John Paul Pim in Missouri and the couple had 5 children together. She is survived by 3 daughters and one son. Bonnie Thompson (Ronald) of Clayton, GA. Nancy Gillette (Bill) of Marietta, GA. John William Pim (Nancy) of Des Moines, Iowa and Paula Cook (David) of Marietta, GA. She is preceded in death of her son Gary Allen Pim. She has nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Katherine was a social, and active woman who was deeply involved in her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed life and friends and most of all her family. Her family and friends will always remember her as a selfless person always there in need. A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18th at 11:00 am located at Southern Cremations and Funeral 1861 Dallas Highway SW Marietta, Ga 30064 with a reception to follow at 1122 Copperwood Drive Marietta, Ga 30064.
