Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Clyde Eddie Harding, 69, of Powder Springs GA left us to be with the Lord on April 22, 2018 following his courageous battle with cancer. He was born on 4/30/48 in Raleigh, NC to the late Clyde and Oreather Harding of Wake Forest, NC and is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Thompson; his twin brother Freddie (and Joy) Harding of Youngsville, NC; his brother Theodore Harding of Wake Forest, NC and daughter, Candance VanVleet of Hillsborough, NC.
Eddie was a graduate of Wake Forest High School and attended college at Wake Tech. He was also a Vietnam Veteran serving in both the Air Force and the Army during that time. Following the war, he was actively involved in the American Legion in NC and lately, the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 6 in Marietta, GA. His lifetime occupation was largely self-employment as a general contractor in residential construction.
A memorial will be held at Southern Cremations and Funeral Home on Dallas Highway in Marietta GA on Thursday, April 26. Visitation begins at 2 pm followed by a Celebration of Life service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to the DAV Chapter 6, Marietta at 995 Roswell St., Suite 324, Marietta GA 30060.
