William David Winship

August 11, 1968 ~ May 16, 2018

William David Winship, age 49, passed away on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018, in Marietta, Georgia. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of over 27 years, Suzie Winship; sons, Dylan and Forrest Winship; father and stepmother, Dale and Sara Winship; sister and brother-in-law, Heather Winship (Stefan Persson); 4 aunts and 2 uncles. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Anne Carle. David was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. David enjoyed spending time watching Dylan play sports from Dylan’s early childhood through high school, and the two spent many weekends together bonding over college sports. David treasured his time with Forrest playing musical instruments together (Dave with his bass guitar, and Forrest with his drums). They made many trips to local record stores and spent hours listening to music together. David loved the Lord. He volunteered in various roles at North Metro Church over the years in hospitality, playing bass guitar in the children’s ministry, and with Suzie leading elementary classes on Sunday mornings. He was involved with men’s Bible studies, community groups, and accountability groups, finding great encouragement and support from the men the Lord had placed in his life. He graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Small Business Degree and worked in the packaging industry as a sales representative for many years. We will miss him, but we know he is with the Lord whole, healed, and restored. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00pm on Tuesday, May 22nd 2018 at North Metro Church 2305 Barrett Parkway NW, Marietta, Georgia 30064.

  2. Dear Carol and Family
Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to meet your son-in-law , it is with great sadness to hear of his passing. I know your heart aches for the loss and hope that as time goes by the memories will help heal as well as knowing William has peace and love in the House of the Lord. Joe and Karen Mussoline
