Fairburn Southern Funerals & Cremations
Winfred Bernice Sharp was born on April 13, 1954, to the late Willie Ray and Mary Sharp in Morrow, Georgia. She was the 11th of 14 children. She attended Morrow High School and graduated in 1973.
Bernice's beautiful smile was infectious, and she loved to laugh. She enjoyed spending time talking and reminiscing about the past. Her favorite pastime was watching old TV shows and movies. She had an extensive DVD collection with movies and shows from different decades. She loved music of all kinds, but especially from the 1970s and was always asking to listen to rare hits from singers like Bobby Sherman. As a teenager, she would always call the radio station asking for her favorite tunes. When she was not watching her favorite shows, she enjoyed completing puzzles and word searches.
Bernice was an industrious homemaker and mother. She spent many years, together with Odell, taking care of their two sons, Carlos and Ricky, and their household. She did all she could to make sure her family was healthy, happy, and well cared for.
Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Willie Ray Jr, Douglas, Nathan, William, Larry, Otis, and Patricia; and her beloved, Carlos Odell Pittman.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Ricky Pittman; six siblings, Elizabeth Carmichael, Lewis Sharpe (Portia), Dewey Sharpe (Benitha), Phyllis Pope, Allan Sharpe (Virginia), and Kenny Sharpe; devoted friends Jerry and Lisa Dozier; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
