Betty Jo Noggle Fann

July 8, 1938 ~ March 13, 2024

Betty Jo Noggle Fann, 85, passed away peacefully on March 13th while at home in Marietta with her son at her bedside. Betty was born in Atlanta in 1938 and grew up with four brothers. After high school, Betty married and gave birth to her son, Steve, while living in Marietta. After divorcing several years later, Betty met and married Johnny Fann and thus began their life-long partnership in love, family, and business. Betty and Johnny owned and operated a glass installation company for several years, and then moved to Centre, AL where they purchased Pruett’s Fish Camp & Cabins on Lake Weiss. Betty and Johnny successfully managed the Fish Camp for 35 years, and all their family and friends enjoyed many fun weekends and holidays at the Fish Camp. In 2017, the Cherokee County (AL) Chamber of Commerce honored Betty and Johnny with the Community Service Award in honor of their hard work and support of local businesses. In 2018, Betty and Johnny moved back to Georgia and sadly Johnny passed away in July 2019. Betty was a woman of strong faith and had a fierce love for her family and friends. She was hard working, honest, dependable, smart, generous, and kind to everyone. Betty was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She touched the lives of many people and will be so very missed. Betty is survived by a brother, Donnie Noggle (Barbara), by her son, Steve Beaver (Kerry), 3 of her stepchildren, Sandy Fann, Randy Fann, and Darrell Fann, her step-granddaughter, Jentsy Fann, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, March 23rd, at the Southern Cremations & Funerals Columbarium, 1861 Dallas Hwy SW, Marietta, GA. Visitation begins at 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery, 410 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta, GA. Guestbook

  1. Michael, Jessica, Michael T., Tyler, & Emma Noggle says:

Wishing you comfort and peace during this difficult time.

  2. So many memories that it’s hard to pick one. But I will always remember getting up at the cabin and helping her cook breakfast. She would tell me it was time to go get my Dad and Uncle Johnny who were out hunting so they could come eat. She would hand me the keys to the truck and teach me to drive on the dirt roads. I was maybe 13. She always made sure I was learning something but having fun at the same time. She gave me so many memories like this and she will forever be in my heart. I Love you Aunt Betty.

  3. We love you & will cherish happy memories. Until Heaven,Donnie & Barbara

  4. With all our love, Donna, Randy Bristol and Family
