Richard Timothy Standish

Richard Timothy Standish was born in Bronx, NY. on June 17, 1942. He passed away after a short illness on June 2, 2018 in. Austell, Ga. He lived in Smyrna, GA. Burial of cremation is at Greenlawn cemetery in Columbia, SC. Arrangements were made by Southern Cremations & Funerals, Marietta GA. Tim was born to Victor J. Standish, Sr. and Ruth. He went to Lancaster Catholic High graduating in 1960. He graduated from Millersville College and Penn Stare Extension, York, Pa. He worked as County planner in Lancaster, PA. He was new town Planner in Dalton, GA He was a veteran of Cold War serving in U. S. Air Force as a specialist 5, stationed in Libya and Amsterdam, Holland. He was involved with Unity Atlanta Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, also June Wilson Standish, who he was married to her until her death in 1994. He was preceded in death by his brothers Victor James Standish, Jr., and John Alden Standish. Tim is survived by his devoted companion, Ellen Wilburn: son Eric Severino, brother Tom G. Standish, sister, Kate Davies, step-son Randy Awtrey. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Unity Atlanta.
