Linda Gale Poindexter

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend, Linda Poindexter, 74, passed away on May 2nd, 2024, in Tyrone, GA. She was born on February 25th,1950 in Atlanta, GA to her mother Dorothy Dalton and her father Thomas Dalton. She went to Brown High School and went to nursing school where she became an LPN. Linda is preceded in death by her parents; Dorothy and Thomas Dalton; Her Brother Karl Dalton. Linda is survived by her daughters, Sherry Thomas (Darrell), Jenny Jackson, Cathy Cross (Bryan); Grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Karl Jackson (Parker), Matthew Thomas (Brittney), Christopher Myers, Justice Vincent, Courtney Myers, Chasity Hicks; Great Grandchildren, Jett Lei, Teagan Jackson, Hallee Lei; Sisters, Brenda Reed, Sandra Presley (Raymond); Brothers, Wayne Dalton, Larry Dalton (Vallie), James Dalton (Kelly). As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Linda cherished her relationship with her family, friends, and our God. She always tried to help those in need. She enjoyed her youngins she would babysit. She was the absolute BEST mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. The memories she made with each of them will be cherished forever. Some of Linda's favorite things were the color "blue", feeding and watching birds. She loved her plants and sunflowers. She loved our God and shared his word with others. She loved to sing and play piano. Linda will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. It is comforting to know that she is with our Lord. We were blessed to have her in our lives. Rest in peace mom, Mawmaw, Memaw, & friend.
