Olufemi Abimbola Erogbogbo

Passed away peacefully on 9th April 2024 at the age of 79 years. Born in Lagos Nigeria on 15th March 1945 Predeceased by Husband, Shafi Erogbogbo and Son, Burihan Erogbogbo Lovingly remembered by : Children Oladapo Erogbogbo Grandchildren Damilare Erogbogbo Damilola Erogbogbo Demilade Erogbogbo Tomisin Erogbogbo Sijuola ErogbogboIreoluwa Erogbogbo brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends Biography Olufemi Abimbola was born to Tunji and Tinuade Ashade of the Ogba ruling Royal family, Lagos State on March 15th, 1945. She was the first of seven children. She attended Mayflower School, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun state, Nigeria. She also attended Ibadan polytechnic, where she studied town planning. She worked as a civil servant with Lagos state government from 1969 to 2002 and retired as the director of town planning services. During her services with Lagos states government, she designed and oversaw the design and planning of Lekki phase one, Victoria Island Lagos, she was also part of the initial team that did the survey and plan for the Federal capital territory (FCT) Abuja Nigeria. Olufemi was a devoted Christian. She attended Anglican bible school and for many years she served in the leadership of the women’s fellowship of Celestial Church of Christ, Idi araba, Lagos. Olufemi operated landed property business for many years, which involved drawing home/property plans and provided services in processing and approval of landed property documents. Femi touched many lives and left an indelible mark in the lives of those she encountered, she will be remembered for her unwavering care and compassion. She expressed her love by giving, and she was very accommodating, as her home was always filled with people. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Femi was married to her childhood sweetheart, Shafi Erogbogbo, and had two sons, Oladapo and Burihan. She has six grandchildren, Damilare, Damilola, Demilade, Tomisin, Sijuola, and Ireoluwa. In honoring her life, let us celebrate the legacy of love and resilience, finding solace in Isaiah 57:1-2 – “Those who walk uprightly enter into peace: they find rest as they lie in death”.
